Leader Recovery Segment:
Torbert recovery dr= 4, NE.
Hill recovery dr= 3, NE.
Strategic segment:
strategic dr= 6+4= 10, Strong Union Logistics
Reinforcement Segment:
Walker arrives in Burkeville.
CSA reinforcement dr= 3, 2 manpower show up. Hagood is now manpower level 6.
Katz arrives at City Point.
Spear arrives at City Point.
Mix arrives at City Point.
18 Union replacements arrrive. Robinson receives 5, Wright 4, Gibbon 4, Griffin 3, Barlow 2. Gibbon is now 12 manpower, the rest are 10.
Union has 64 total losses minus 22 already received is 42 unreplaced losses. Modifier is times 4.
Union replacement dr= 4 times 4 = 16 manpower next strategic cycle. All replacements are headed for the Army of the Potomac.
Valley segment:
10NY, 15NY and 20PA advance to New Market.
WE Jones, Jackson and McClausland move from Lexington to Charlottesville.
I'm trying to maximize my chances of staying active with Sigel by not attacking Breckenridge. I'd rather not suffer a major defeat, I'd be attacking at -2 needing a +4 on the combat roll. Not likely.
Bermuda Hundred Segment:
Butler is passive.
Beauregard, Hoke, Terry, Corse, Martin, Colquitt, Dearing, Lewis, Wise and Ransom attack Petersburg.
Pickett, Colquitt and 31NC move to Drewry's Bluff.
Need to attack Petersburg-even if I win there are many more problems-but must start with the first thing first!
vs Petersburg: 23:46 (23) = -1, tactical +1 for a +0 attack
C4 2Fa result, Corse and Lewis both lose a manpower, to manlevel 2
U1 2Dr result, Weitzel to manlevel 9.
Smith, Weitzel, Brooks and Hinks retreat to Port Walthall Junction.
Not much I could do about that, +2 results are easy to come by. I was hoping for a stalemate on the first round followed by a defeat in the second. This is not a major defeat for Butler, on defense he needs to be routed for a major defeat to occur.
That helps. Now need help with my supply!
Just what the doctor ordered for the Confederates. This will save Scott 10 VP every strategic cycle ... at least 50 VP before the game is over. A huge swing. And when (and if) Butler goes passive he'll be able to siphon some troops off to help Lee.
Depot segment:
Union completes the depot at Port Royal. The Culpeper depot will be disbanded next strategic cycle.
The Union Navy marker stays on the "Transport Supplies" side because a depot was placed in a landing hex.
Hanover Junction depot is dismantled.
CSA depot dr= 3, depot build is replaced at Hanover Junction.
Supply status segment:
Chapman, JI Gregg and 37 Colored regiment are out of supply.
Hunton, Clingman, Anderson and Wilcox are out of supply.
Ammunition segment:
All Union units are fully provisioned.
Union Command segment:
Sigel dr= 3 - 1 (no major defeats in this theater) = 2, 1 command point
Butler dr= 2, 1 command point.
Sigel stays active.
Butler goes active.
Good, my gamble pays off. The Valley will be attacked on 3 fronts next cycle.
Yes, the Valley is going to be very exciting next turn. Crawford can attack Charlottesville from the east while Sigel moves south from New Market to Staunton. With Crook and Averell arriving from West Virginia at the same time (they can attack either Staunton or Lexington) it will be quite interesting indeed!
VP segment:
+3 Port Walthall Junction - May 7
+3 Port Walthall Junction - May 11
+3 Port Walthall Junction - May 15
+3 Port Walthall Junction - May 19
+10 Petersburg - May 11
+10 Petersburg - May 15
+3 Caroline county - May 15
+3 Caroline county - May 19
+15 Bumpass Turnout depot destroyed
+15 Capital depot destroyed
+90 CSA losses
-132 Union losses
-30 Brandy Station depot destroyed
Equals -4 VP, a CSA Decisive victory at this point.
