Random event dr= 8, No effect (Reb paralysis if Lee is sick)

Grant and Warren transfer to Griffin.

Ramseur and Steuart attach to Rodes.

Pre turn: my main goal for this turn is to advance out of the Wilderness in good order while advancing Burnside's IX Corps towards either Germanna Ford or preparing him for strategic movement thru Stafford County next turn. The only other thing to do is deal with Stuart if he tries anything. I would think he'd move south just to link up with the rest of the cavalry corps.

Pre turn: Will push with Ewell and possibly slide around his right. Longstreet is in reserve and then to Spotsylvania CH. Hill is to look for an opening and will slide to our right and possibly box him in the Wilderness. Stuart must find a presence on both flanks to deny strat moves around my flanks.

I am disappointed in Ewell he has moved slow and fought poorly! His sickness will be a blessing!

I knew Ricketts would be in trouble, I had hoped to entrench and transfer Sedgwick to him.

So far, so good. I've captured Spotsylvania Court House (temporarily?) but at what cost? Hancock has lost 12 manpower while marching! He'll get nearly all of any replacements I get, the bad thing is I have to suffer losses to get a large amount. Right now my position is real good, I just have to be careful not to suffer any huge retreats.

Paul is plunging ahead without worrying about a supply line -- the right move for these four turns that he'll be without a depot.  If he can hold on to Spotsylvania Court House the 12 manpower lost will be worth it.  Grant lost a lot more than that fighting for Spotsylvania in the real campaign!  For those not familiar with the campaign game rules, control of Spotsylvania Court House allows a depot in Spotsylvania County (for instance at Fredericksburg) to project supply to Union units in adjacent counties.  Once Paul gets a complete depot built in the county (which should be at the end of  Turn 8/May 11), he can advance into Caroline or Louisa counties and be in supply as he goes.

Init #11: Activate Hill(Heth, Anderson, Wilcox)
dr=5+2=7
Lee/Hill transfer to Heth f1 2418
Anderson F1 2319, Wilcox F1 2218

Well another nice move to protect himself! Good work Paul-although Id like my 58% of the inits! I need to form some sort of a line so ill slide Hill.

Init #12: Activate Warren (Griffin, Wadsworth, Robinson, Art Res-2)

Warren dr= 5+1=6
Grant, Warren, Griffin extended dr= 2+1=3 ok f3 3119
Robinson extended dr= 6+1=7 fail f3 disorg 3119

I dig in behind the creek just in case, I don't want to advance too far ahead and get smashed in between Longstreet and Hill. I'll feel more adventurous once I bring Burnside up to flank him.

Lee can still help if I can get him around the rear. But those rolls wont do it. Longstreet is strong so Ill try a frontal.

I surround Rosser but unfortunately I can't attack until the next init because Tolbert is a division leader. With the day ending early I hope I didn't waste Torbert's inits, I really needed to move Burnside.
